Visual Perl Editor allows you to create CGI scripts in Perl, while off-line in Windows.
The editor has two panels, one to edit the script and another that previews the CGI in an internal Web browser. You can also test the script for errors or run them normally. It supports code-templates to add to your script, comes with a Query editor to easily create queries to be tested with a GET method, includes an URL encoder/decoder, includes integrated error testing, provides FTP, and supports bookmarks.
It also includes directions for running CGI Perl scripts in Windows, offline, for testing or for learning. |
